Sagalassos Team Strikes Gold…Again

Baths at SagalassosLast summer, I wrote about the magnificient site of Sagalassos in Turkey (also here and here). This year’s excavations deliver the goods once again: A new (colossal) portrait of Hadrian (via RC). The portrait was found in the on-going excavations of the Pisidian city’s baths, which are shown in my photo to the right. The excavations can be followed as part of Archaeology Magazine’s Interactive Dig, although there have been very few updates this year.
