Ny Carlsberg Glyptotek in Copenhagen has recently re-opened after a year of so of restoration and reorganization of especially the Etruscan and Greek collections. The didactic displays have also been improved in the Roman sculpture galleries. The new themed section “Middelhavshorisonten” (The Mediterranean Horizon) is very nicely done, but it might disappoint visitors that are not familiar with the material. However, I really like this new ‘composition’ of Augustus and Livia:
Family portraits: Livia and Augustus in Imperial harmony. Photo: TMK, August 2006.
Troels, jeg bliver ved med at blive imponeret over dit kamera. Skarpheden og dybden i foto’et her fra Glyptoteket er fantastisk. Din blog fra for resten ogsaa et flot grafisk look.
I must say – even though I would have liked to be more critical as we are not in the habit of praising each other – that this is a fantastic photo of Livia and Augustus!
This is a nice husband and wife pictures.
The details are so sharp and clear (I can even see the chip from the couple’s faces.)
This is me,
John
